Bio
Jie Tang (S’10–M’13) received the B.Eng. degree in information engineering from the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree (with Distinction) in communication systems and signal processing from the University of Bristol, Bristol, U.K., in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree from Loughborough University, Loughborough, U.K., in 2012.
He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, South China University of Technology. He previously held post-doctoral research positions with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K. His current research interests include green communications, NOMA, 5G networks, SWIPT, heterogeneous networks, cognitive radio, and D2D communications.
Dr. Tang is currently serving as an Editor for EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, Physical Communications and Ad Hoc and Sensor Wireless Networks. He also served as a Track Co-Chair for the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference Spring 2018.
