Zhang is mainly engaged in the research of molecular virology and antibody engineering, and his research interests include: designing and developing novel antiviral drug molecules based on antibody engineering technology; carrying out research on the molecular mechanism of the interaction between neurotropic viruses and hepatotropic viruses and host factors; and developing diagnostic reagents for infectious disease pathogens, and establishing related rapid detection methods.
