He served as a visiting scholar at Houston Methodist Research Institute, Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University from 2014 to 2015. He is the master instructor of pharmacy in Fudan University and clinical pharmacy in Second Military Medical University. And, he is currently the chief pharmacist of the pharmacy department of Fudan University Cancer Hospital. Dr. Liu was selected as one of the “Hundred Talents Program” of Shanghai health and family planning commission. He has won 7 provincial and ministerial level awards, including the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education. He hosted 20 research projects, including 4 National Natural Science Foundations.

Dr. Liu has published over 120 research articles, 40 of which were published in Adv Funct Mater, ACS Applied Materials, J Control Release and other high-profile journals.
