Jochen Neuhaus

I am biologist running the urology research laboratory of the Dept. of Urology since 1995. We focus on (i) urinary tract pathology, especially on Interstitial Cystitis, Overactive Bladder, and neurourology, (ii) liquid-biopsy uro-oncological biomarkers, and (iii) Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) of bladder cancer. We have numerous international collaborations including close relationships to the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences (SUMHS) and the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH, Zhejiang University), where I hold visiting Professorships. Methods and techniques: cell culture, fluorescence imaging techniques, immunohistology, Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (CLSM), calcium imaging, live-cell imaging, 3D-image analysis, real-time PCR, Western blot, Tissue Micro Arrays (TMA).
