Neuroscience research topics in my lab at Uiowa focus on coma/arousal/sleep/wake, sodium appetite, thirst, hunger, normal pressure hydrocephalus, micturition and urinary (in)continence. We study the parabrachial nucleus, nucleus of the solitary tract, insular cortex, and a variety of other homeostatic brain regions. I also care for neurology inpatients and outpatients with neurodegenerative diseases in my Cognitive Neurology clinic at UIHC.
