I have over 275 publications was designated as a ‘Highly Cited’ author in the field of Immunology. I conducted pioneering research in leukocyte and endothelial adhesion molecules, vascular biology, and inflammation. I have given over 150 invited presentations at national and international meetings and received Clinician Scientist and Established Investigator Awards from the American Heart Association. I was elected to the prestigious American Society for Clinical Investigation and the American Association of Physicians. I mentored over 30 pre- and postdoctoral students in my laboratory. I have been a member of multiple editorial boards and served on the scientific advisory board or as consultant for multiple biotechnology companies.
