Bio

The primary research interests of my lab are aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD). In particular, we focus on the contribution of microglia to brain aging and AD as well as their capacity to develop immune memory and its consequences for neuropathology. In addition, we study age- and AD-related changes in vascular function, with a particular focus on medin amyloid and cerebral amyloid-beta angiopathy (CAA).
