Dr. Jon Hunter is the current Head of the Consultation-Liaison Program at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry. He is also Head of Psychosocial Services in the Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre. His clinical practice centers on the psychiatric care of cancer patients, with particular emphasis placed on psychotherapeutic interventions. He has a longstanding interest in the way people’s personalities interact with the world around them, for instance, when dealing with illness. Research interests include psychological management of chemotherapy side-effects, group psychotherapy in women at high risk for breast cancer, and the role of early life experience in adaptation to disease.
