Josh Harguess

Joshua D. Harguess (M’13) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in computational and applied mathematics from the University of Texas, Austin, TX, USA, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, in 2011. Since Spring 2012, he has been with the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division at the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, CA, USA. His broad research interests lie in the areas of computer vision, machine learning, and augmented reality. His current research focuses on automated image and video quality, object and ego-motion estimation from real-world imagery, and Naval applications of augmented reality. Dr. Harguess received the Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) scholarship 2010–2011.
