Josh Colwell received the B.S. degree in physics from Stetson University, DeLand, FL, in 1985, and the Ph.D. degree in astrophysical, planetary, and atmospheric sciences from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1989. In 1995–1996, he was a Fulbright Senior Researcher with the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées in Toulouse, France. He was a Research Associate with the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado from 1989 to 2006, and is currently Assistant Professor of physics with the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL. His research interests are on dynamics of dust in the solar system, planetary rings, the Moon, and the origin of planetary systems.
