Julian R Thorpe

(N.B. I am now retired) I am a biological electron microscopist responsible for the electron microscopy facilities in the 'Sussex Centre for Advanced Microscopy' in Life Sciences at the University of Sussex. My particular research expertise is using immunogold labelling TEM approaches to investigate the pathology and attempt to elucidate the molecular pathogenesis of various neurodegenerative diseases utilising both post-mortem human brain tissues and animal and cell models of diseases.
