Jungkyu Kim is an associate professor of mechanical engineering at University of Utah. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at the University of Utah and subsequently completed post-doctoral training at UC Berkeley. Prior to joining the University of Utah, he was an assistant professor in mechanical engineering at Texas Tech as an assistant professor. His current research topics include organ chip models of the heart valve and cornea, point-of-care diagnostics using novel biosensors for ultra-sensitive biological and chemical analysis, and instrument development for space exploration using micro/nanosystems. He serves as an editorial board member of Nature Scientific Reports as well as other scientific journals. Website: https://biomems.mech.utah.edu.
