Kerri has extensive teaching and supervisory experience at ANU, at the Karolinska Institutet and in low and middle income countries. In 2017, she received the ANU College of Science Excellence in Supervision Award (Early Career Researcher).

Kerri is internationally recognised for her work on TB and is a member of United Nations Committees on TB. She is a frequently invited technical adviser and speaker, and is currently consulting for the World Health Organization on evidence based policy development for drug resistant TB. Her research is strongly aligned to the End TB Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals, and has influenced national and international policy and practice.
