Kang Wook Kim (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 1985 and 1987, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1996. In 1987, before pursuing his Ph.D. degree, he worked as a Researcher with the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute. He worked as a Design Engineer with P-Com Inc., USA, and Narda DBS Microwave, USA, in 1998 and 1999, respectively. In 2001, he joined as a Faculty Member with the School of Electronics Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea. He is currently a Founder of EM-wise Communications Company Inc., South Korea. His research interests include microwave communication system and subsystems, microwave/mm-wave ultra-wideband components and packaging, wireless communications, and microwave/mm-wave plasma diagnostics.
