Holger Kersten

Holger Kersten received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Greifswald, Greifswald, Germany, in 1990. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the University of Eindhoven, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, from 1996 to 1997, and the Head of the Department for Plasma Process Technology with the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology, Greifswald, from 2003 to 2006. He has been a Full Professor with Kiel University, Kiel, Germany, since 2006. His current research interests include plasma–surface interaction for technological applications, plasma diagnostics, and complex (dusty) plasmas as well as the fundamentals of gas discharge physics.
