I am a Research Fellow in the School of Psychology within the College of Social Science. Prior to moving to Lincoln, I completed an undergraduate masters degree in pharmacology (University of Bath), a postgraduate certificate in research methods and a PhD in experimental psychology (University of Brighton in collaboration with University of Sussex). I have also worked in psychopharmacology clinical trials at the University of Surrey and as a research administrator and technician at the University of Exeter. My broad research interests are in the psychopathology of psychiatric disorders. My PhD research focused on addictive processes specifically investigating cognitive and behavioural mechanisms (e.g. punishment sensitivity and cognitive control) thought to be important in the maintenance and relapse of problem drug use and dependence. At Lincoln, I will continue to investigate cognitive processes in mental health. I will be working with Dr Kyla Pennington (http://staff.lincoln.ac.uk/kpennington) on a project that aims to examine the influence of gene x environment interactions on cognitive processes relevant to schizophrenia.
