Dr. Kevin Stevenson is an exoplanet astronomer who works in space where planetary sciences, astrophysics, and heliophysics overlap. He is interested in characterizing the architectures and atmospheres of extrasolar planets to better understand their nature and origin; developing exoplanet mission concepts to measure the composition and chemical properties of nearby potentially habitable worlds; and building software packages and tools to enable exoplanet observation planning, data reduction and analysis, and atmospheric characterization. He is the principal investigator for the M-Dwarf Opportunity, an Interdisciplinary Consortia Astrobiology Research (ICAR) program, and for a large JWST Cycle 1 GO program studying M-dwarf terrestrial planet atmospheres. Dr. Stevenson is also the co-principal investigator for the JWST Transiting Exoplanet Community Early Release science program.
