Bio
Kelvin Y. Kwan currently works at the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The Kwan Lab does research in Neuroscience and Cell Biology. The lab uses deep sequencing methods, super-resolution microscopy and mouse genetics to understand how epigenetic changes affect development of auditory neurons in the cochlea. The current project is focused on Chd7, a chromatin remodeling protein. Mutations in Chd7 have been implicated in CHARGE syndrome, a human disorder that displays a constellation of development deficits including hearing loss.
