I am a remote sensing scientist and landscape ecologist with expertise in remote sensing of wetlands, vegetation ecology, scenario planning and decision support for natural resources management. As former PI of two NASA ROSES grants and current Co-PI of two additional NASA ROSES grants, I use remote sensing of wetland vegetation characteristics to assess large scale wetland carbon stocks and productivity, and to understand wetland resilience to climate change and surrounding land use. As the PI of three California Landscape Conservation Cooperative (CA LCC) grants, I applied integrated modeling and scenario planning to assess impacts to rangeland ecosystem services in California from climate and land use change. Projects have featured extensive outreach to land managers and land owners to aid natural resources decision making. Successful management of multidisciplinary projects has produced 10 publications in high impact peer review journals since 2013, plus on-line data visualization tools, factsheets, and technical reports.
