My expertise and interests lie in several areas of cognition - artificial intelligence, cognitive robotics, humanoid robots and natural communication. I like challenges. I have founded and run start-ups (Radar Networks, CMLabs), consulted for industry (British Telecom, OZ Interactive, NASA), been a VP Engineering and a CTO (Soliloquy, Lucid Ventures) and of course everybody's favorite "mad scientist in lab" (MIT, Columbia U, U Iceland, Reykjavik U). In 2005 I co-founded an A.I. research lab at RU and I recently founded a new research institute in Reykjavik, the Icelandic Institute for Intelligent Machines (www.iiim.is).
