Bio
Kwan Wee TAN is an Assistant Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He earned his Ph.D. from Cornell University (2014), M.Sc. from the National University of Singapore (2009), M.Eng. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2008), and B.Eng. from Nanyang Technological University (2006), all in materials science and engineering. He had also conducted research at the University of Oxford as a visiting student in October 2011. Prior to joining NTU, he was a SMART Scholar at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (2015–2017), a postdoctoral research associate at Cornell University (2014–2015), and a research engineer at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (2009).
