Lieselotte Cnops

Lieselotte Cnops currently works at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM). Lieselotte does research in Molecular Biology. Development, validation and implementation of molecular diagnostic tests is her core business. Research projects focus on arboviruses (dengue, zika, chikungunya,...), hemoraghic fever viruses (ebola, ...) and parasites (malaria, schistosoma, leishmania,...). Lieselotte has experience in both clinical routine and research laboratory activities of ITM and African partner institutes of ITM. Since September 2018, she is working in the unit Neglected Tropical Diseases with a research focus on molecular diagnosis of Leishmaniasis and acute febrile illness in Ethiopia.
