Lianyuan Zheng

Lianyuan Zheng received the B.S. degree in applied mathematics from the Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China, in 1985, the M.S. degree in physical oceanography from the Ocean University of China, in 1988, the M.S. degree in marine science from the University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in marine science from the University of Georgia, in 2001. He is currently a Research Associate with the College of Marine Science, University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, FL, USA. His researches focus on the shelf and estuary 3-D baroclinic circulations and their interactions, hurricane-induced storm surge simulation, and developing automated nowcast/forecast ocean modeling systems.
