I am a multi-talented oral pathologist with expertise in clinical research, senior executive level administration, and pedagogy, including educational methodology.
With an h index of 97 derived from more than 450 scientific communications, and cited in the literature over 30.5000 occasions, I am considered the foremost, global authority on oral fungal diseases and related human mycoses. Additionally, I am one of the top ten most cited scholars in the discipline of Dentistry.
I am currently a Professor Emeritus at the University of Hong Kong. Previously I have served as the Executive Dean of two major dental schools, in Hong Kong and Australia at the Universities of Hong Kong and Queensland, respectively.
The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong that I led for a decade (2004-13) is considered one of the top five Dental Schools in the World as per QS World University Rankings of Dental Schools (2015 to 2022).
