Lauri Rostila

Lauri Rostila was born in Tampere, Finland, in 1978. He received the M.Sc. and Dr.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Tampere University of Technology, Tampere, Finland, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. In 2001, he joined the Institute of Electromagnetics, Department of Electrical Engineering, Tampere University of Technology as a Research Assistant and became a Researcher in 2003. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Senior Researcher with Columbus Superconductors SpA, Italy. This post included a Marie Curie Fellowship in the European Union Project Nanoengineered Superconductors for Power Applications (NESPA), aiming at developing nanoengineered superconductors for power applications. Since 2011, he has been a Patent Examiner with the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland, Helsinki, Finland. His research interests include the material characterization and ac-loss modeling of superconductors.
