Liang Chen

Liang Chen (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in applied physics from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2007, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in microelectronic and solid-state electronics from the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. From 2012 to 2013, he was a High-Performance Computing (HPC) Engineer with the HPC Solution Center, Dawning Information Industry Company Ltd., Beijing, China. From 2013 to 2017, he was the Technical Solution Department Manager of DongJun Technology Company Ltd., Shanghai, and a Principal Developer of the electromagnetic simulation software EastWave. In 2017, he joined the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow. Since 2020, he has been a Research Scientist at KAUST. His research interests include computational physics (electromagnetics, semiconductor devices, quantum transport, and multiphysics simulation), computer-aided engineering software, high-performance computing, and various topics in photonics and condensed matter physics.
