I am a Clinical Psychologist and work as an Associate Professor in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Newcastle, Australia. My primary research interest lays in the study of atypical and typical development with a particular emphasis on social development. I undertake developmental research of children, adolescents and young adults with developmental disorders such as 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and Williams syndrome. Both of these disorders are characterised by a complex physical and behavioural phenotypes. I also have a keen interest in autism spectrum disorders. In addition, my research program also include research of wellbeing and mental health in the perinatal period, parents of typically developing children and those who have children with disabilities.
