Longzhi Yang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China, the M.Sc. degree in computer science from Coventry University, Coventry, U.K., and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Aberystwyth University, Aberystwyth, U.K., in 2003, 2006, and 2011, respectively. He is currently a Programme Leader and a Reader with Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K. His research interests include computational intelligence, machine learning, big data, computer vision, intelligent control systems, and the application of such techniques in real-world uncertain environments.
