Lu Zhang(璐 张)

Lu Zhang received the Ph.D degree in 2009 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Delaware, USA. And, he received the M.E. and B.E. degrees in 2002 and 1999, respectively, from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, China. He is currently a Product Line Manager for 5G products at the Nokia Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd. (which is the former Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd.). Since 2009, he joined Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd., where he was a Research Scientist at the Bell Labs China from 2009 to 2012 and began to act as a Product Line Manager since 2012. He was awarded as Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (title for life) in 2015, and awarded as Member of the Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy in 2011. From November 2008 to March 2009, he was a full-time Research Intern at the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge, USA. From January 2004 to August 2004, he was a System Engineer at the Siemens Ltd., China. From April 2002 to January 2004, he was a R&D Engineer at the Beijing Research Institute, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. His research interests include emerging techniques in 5G systems, interference management for small cells and/or heterogeneous networks (HetNet), coordinate multi-point (CoMP) transmission technologies in LTE-Advanced systems, carrier aggregation technologies in LTE-Advanced systems, theoretical analyses for multi-cell co-channel interference in MIMO-based cellular networks, decentralized cooperative relaying techniques in adhoc networks, space-time coding in MIMO systems, etc.
