个人简介
Currently, I am associate Professor of Physical Chemistry "Nanoscience and Nano-engineering" at Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI)- Egypt, in addition to Visiting Researcher at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS). Joining the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) as a postdoctoral researcher in 2010 is considered as one of the main and pivotal stations in my scientific research. I successfully designed nanostructure materials with unique properties served in various sector in the daily life needy applications including environment and energy applications. In addition to designing simple nanocaptor and reliable early warning sensor technology for air, soil, water and wastewater purification and treatment.
My research interest focus on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Main part of my research interests include design and fabrication of nanostructured hybrid materials and the environmental implications of nanotechnology in the environment and improved sensors for water treatment. Concisely, the scientific achievement and research interests associated with material fabrication and design lie in the area of energy, environment, and biological applications.
Design and development of mesoporous nanoscale materials as optical nanosensors for early warning, optical detection, removal and purification of different types of pollutants such as toxic and radioactive materials from the environment including Water, Air, and Soil.
The main of my interest and achievement can be addressed as follow:
1) Environmental water purification, leading to: i) Decontamination; ii) Early warning sensors, iii) Mass-scale pure production of water-free toxins, and iv) Reduce volume in waste management
2) Metal resources from sand, sea coast and urban mining
3) Nano membrane filtration
4) Safe environment from released radiation around nuclear plants
5) Green energy production
6) Catalysis
Research Achievements & Interests
My research has been focused on a wide range of areas including
1. Controlled fabrication of wide-range of economic and efficient porous nanomaterials including metal oxides for energy and environmental applications.
2. Design of Nanostructured hybrid material for electronic application such as LED
3. Fabrication and development of reliable and economic nanomaterial for water treatment and purification using mesoporous, hybrid, and C-N doped materials in terms of decontamination, early warning sensors, removal and extraction, water-free toxins,
4. Development of hybrid materials platform nano-captor for the recycling/recovery of precious and rare earth metal from real sample,
5. Development of nanostructured chromatographic adsorbents and catalysts for “Green Chemistry” goals, for example, removal of the organic pollutants.
6. Rational systematic design of porous nanostructured materials for biosensor and bio-applications,
7. Conducting polymer as organic/inorganic heterojunction for electronic applications.
