Bio

We are working on the functional role of the PI3-kinase/AKT/mTOR pathway for signal transduction, tumorigenesis and metastasis. A major topic in the lab is the analyisis of the three AKT isoforms. We are also interested in the negative regulation of this pathway by the inositol 5-phosphatase SHIP1 during leukemogenesis. Another topic in the lab is the combinatorial treatment with AKT and mTOR inhibitors.
