A. J. Manninen

Antti Manninen (M'03) was born in 1963. He received the M.Sc. (Tech.) and D.Sc. (Tech.) degrees in technical physics from the Helsinki University of Technology (TKK), Espoo, Finland, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He made D.Sc. thesis work on experimental properties of superfluid He-3 at the Helsinki University of Technology and continued research on that field for two years at The University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K. After that, he has studied single electron phenomena in nanostructures at the University of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä, Finland, and data transmission using wideband code division multiple access techniques at Nokia Research Center, Finland. Since the end of 2001, he has been with the Centre for Metrology and Accreditation (MIKES), Espoo, where he currently leads the Electricity Group and works in the field of electrical metrology. His research interests include metrological applications of quantum phenomena (Josephson effect, quantum Hall effect, and single charge transport) and microelectromechanical devices.
