Manuel B. Datiles III MD is an Eye Physician-Scientist, an Adj. Assoc. Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Institute of Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore & was a tenured Senior Investigator at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. He has served as a Laboratory Scientist, Consult Physician, and Chief of the Cataract and Cornea Section at NIH. The main focus of his research has been cataracts and corneal disorders. He has given talks internationally & has received awards from the US Fed Gov't, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Johns Hopkins & NIH. He has published >100 scientific papers & book chapters & served as an editor & reviewer for international eye journals. He has been in "Who's Who in America" & "Who's Who in the World" for >25 yrs.
