Maria Carmen Morant-Miñana is currently a Researcher of Microsensors Unit, CIC microGUNE, Gipuzkoa, Spain. She received the Ph.D. degree in pharmacy from the University of València, València, Spain, in 2007, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Konstanz, Konstanz, Germany, before she assumed her current position in June 2011. Her research interests are in electrochemical sensing and biosensing, in biosensors based on thin gold films, and in the design of advanced materials for use in (bio)chemical sensing. She has authored several articles in recent years mainly in chemistry and material science journals.
