Mariusz Stȩpień (M’12–SM’14) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Gliwice, Poland, in 1999 and 2006, respectively. Since 2004, he has been with the Department of Power Electronics, Electrical Drives and Robotics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, SUT. His current research interests include superconductivity, power electronic energy conversion, HF transformers, and finite element method (FEM) modeling of electrical engineering and interdisciplinary problems. Dr. Stepien is a member of European Society of Superconductivity (ESAS). Since 2018, he has been serving as a Secretary/Treasurer for Chapter of Magnetics, Polish Section of IEEE.
