Marlene Dupraz

After an academic career in microbiology, I am interested in host-vector-pathogen relationships. My PhD topic is the study of two tick-seabird systems thanks to morphometric, chemical and genetic analyzes, in order to uncover the adaptations developed by the tick in response to constraints imposed by the host birds. I'm working currently at UMR Astre CIRAD Reunion on the vector risk surveillance and control activities in the Indian Ocean, including vectors as mosquitoes, biting midges and ticks.
