Bio
My research group focuses on studies of various fundamental aspects of structure and dynamics in functional - mostly energy relevant - materials, such as ionic conductors and luminescent materials, with a view towards their application in various technological devices (e.g., solid oxide fuel cells, batteries, solar cells, and light-emitting diodes). Most of this research is experimental in nature and the most frequently used techniques are neutron scattering and optical techniques.
