Matthew Studley received the B.Sc. degree in biological science from Sussex University, Brighton, U.K., in 1990, the M.Sc. degree in parallel computing systems and the Ph.D. degree from the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, U.K, in 1996 and 2006, respectively. His Ph.D. research investigated the use of learning classifier systems to control physical robots in problems with more than one objective. He has worked in the telecommunications, e-commerce, investment and finance sectors in many European countries, the U.S., and Australia, and is currently at UWE.
