Michael Mingueneau

Immunologist experienced with target and biomarker identification/validation and advancing drug discovery programs in the fields of immunology, neuroimmunology and autoimmunity. In current position, heads one of the two research groups composing the Biogen Multiple Sclerosis Research Unit, with a focus on designing and implementing therapeutic strategies to target neuroinflammation in patients with progressive MS. As R&D Project and Group leader, leads highly cross-functional teams of scientists and associate scientists to advance small and large molecule programs from Hit ID to R2D and IND. In parallel to these activities, also contributes to early target validation and exploratory research programs. In-depth technological and analytical expertise with cellular and molecular immunology, signaling assays, and transcriptomics. Research interests: molecular basis of immunological and neuroimmunological diseases; drug discovery and target validation; signaling and transcriptional networks; systems biology and single-cell biology.
