I conduct applied fish health research to benefit the US cold water marine aquaculture industry. My work focuses primarily on the development of sustainable strategies for the management of sea lice in the US salmon farming industry. Those strategies include selective breeding for sea lice resistance, development of lumpfish for use as a cleaner fish, and evaluation of potential function feed ingredients.
