Michael Ringborn

Michael Ringborn graduated in 1999, and received the M.D. degree from Lund University Medical School, Lund, Sweden, in 1999. Since 2008, he has been working toward the Ph.D degree in the Department of Cardiology, University of Lund, Lund, Sweden. His Ph.D. thesis is focused on risk stratification during acute myocardial infarction, and especially quantification of depolarization changes during myocardial ischemia. In 1995, he was involved in myocardial ischemia research in the Department of Cardiology, Duke University, Durham, NC. He has also been part of a research group at the Department of Clinical Physiology and the Department of Cardiology, Lund University, as well as Duke University, and the University of Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain. He was also an Intern at Blekinge Hospital, Karlskrona, Sweden, in 2000. He was a Specialist in internal medicine in 2005 and in cardiology in 2007. He is currently a Senior Consultant in cardiology at the Thorax Center, Blekinge Hospital, Karlskrona, Sweden. Dr. Ringborn has been a Reviewer for Journal of Electrocardiology since 2006.
