My scientific work is focused on defectoscopy of steel ropes and pipes. In recent years I have been dealing mainly with optical properties of thin films by elepsometric methods, ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) and SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance). Within the scope of SPR, we perform both theoretical calculations of thin films and biochip design for biochemical applications (focus on medicine). At present we have come to the testing of optical biochip based on MO-SPR (Magnetooptical - Surface Plasmon Resonance). It also focuses on measurement and modeling of magnetic properties of materials, especially permanent magnets type NdFeB. I also deal with signal processing of experimental data in measured data processing. In 2002 I participated in the AGENT project as a Technology Scout. The project was focused on interconnection of R&D workplaces and business sphere especially in strengthening communication, further in transfer of knowledge and application of R&D results in practice. In 1999, I spent six months on an internship at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I dealt with physical measurements especially AFM and near-field microscopy. I am the author of 65 publications cited in 153 documents. My h - index is 8.
