Mir Fazlollah Mousavi was born in Shabestar, Tabriz, Iran, in 1954. He received the Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University of Shiraz, Shiraz, Iran, in 1992 under the tutelage of Prof. M. Shamsipur. He joined the Tarbiat Modarres University (TMU), Tehran, Iran, as an Assistant Professor of analytical chemistry in 1992 and was promoted to Associate Professor and, then, Full Professor in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He has published over 70 scientific papers in international journals. His research work has been mainly concerned with the kinetic-spectrophotometric determination of cations and anions, flow-injection analysis, the design of rechargeable batteries, electrochemical studies of recently synthesized electroactive compounds, and the development of new chemical sensors.
