Mitsuru Ekawa

Mitsuru Ekawa received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 1987, 1989, and 1993, respectively. During 1989–1993, he worked with the Nagoya Institute of Technology, Nagoya, Japan, to research II-VI compound semiconductors. In 1993, he joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd, Atsugi, Japan, where he was engaged in research and development of OMVPE growth of III-V compound semiconductors for optical communication. In 2014, he joined Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., Yokohama, Japan, where he has been engaged in the development of integrated semiconductor optical devices. Dr. Ekawa is a Member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics.
