Dr.Tannenbaum is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science and was an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Fellow in 1967-69. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi and the New York Academy of Sciences. His committee service includes the Users Executive (1971-1973) and Program Advisory (1972-1975) Committees of Fermilab; the Committee to Advise AUI Trustees on new BNL Director (1981), the BNL Distinguished Lectureship Committee (1991-1995, Chairman 1993-1995), the Executive Council of the PHENIX Experiment at RHIC (1994-2003), and the Conseil Scientifique of the Laboratoire Leprince-Ringuet of the Ecole Polytechnique in Paliseau, Paris, France (2002-2005). Dr. Tannenbaum is co-author of over 250 scientific papers in journals, books and conference proceedings. He is listed in American Men and Women of Science, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
