Moeto Nagai was born in Inuyama, Aichi, Japan. He received the B.S. degree from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nagoya University, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2009. He was a Researcher with the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, in 2009, and an Assistant Professor with the Toyohashi University of Technology, where he has been a Lecturer of mechanical engineering since 2017. His research interests include smart microsystems and massively parallel single-cell processing. He was a recipient of The Young Scientists’ Prize, The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2018.
