个人简介
My main research focus is the identification and improvement of the bottlenecks in central metabolism in crop plants and during adventitious root formation in ornamental plants. Here, different approaches including hormonomics, nutreomics, enzymomomics and metabolomics are performed by a range of UPLC- and MSMS-based analyses. Further, with studies on the regulation of C and N metabolisms under biotic or abiotic stress conditions, I am aiming to contribute to the improvement of biotechnological strategies to optimize the agronomic performance of crop plants. This approach is applied either to cereal plants such as barley to study basic processes and the regulation of biomass accumulation or to ornamental plants like Petunia to improve the rooting of leafy cuttings.
