Mood Mohan is currently working as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI), US under the affiliation of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), US. He completed his Ph.D. in the year of 2018 from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. His research area is primarily focused on the pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass in green solvents such as Ionic Liquids and Subcritical Water. His research interest covers phase equilibria of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents, conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into value-added chemicals, and prediction of thermodynamic and phase equilibria properties of liquid systems by computational chemistry calculations.
