Ayub Muhammad

Dr. Muhammad Ayub has worked for Saudi Aramco from August 2006 to October 2018 as a Petroleum Engineering Specialist on the Production Technology Team of the Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center – Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC), where he was responsible for handling a wide variety of research projects related to oil/gas productivity enhancement, along with several administrative tasks. From 2006 to 2012, Dr. Ayub served in the Special Core Analysis group of the Advanced Technical Services Division in EXPEC ARC. He has also served as a Research Scientist at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and as an Associate Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Regina, Canada. Dr. Ayub has supervised/co-supervised several students in their studies for M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. He has published numerous articles in refereed journals and presented articles at conferences. Dr. Ayub also works as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, and he is a technical reviewer of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Journal of Canadian Petroleum Technology papers. Dr. Ayub is a member of the SPE, the Petroleum Society of Canada and the Society of Core Analysts. He also is a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Canada. In 1984, he received a B.S. degree from the University of Engineering and Technology; in 1989, an M.S. degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals; and in 2000, a Ph.D. degree from the University of Alberta, Canada – all in Petroleum Engineering.
