个人简介
Currently, I, Dr Muhammad Dawood Shah is working on marine natural products at Borneo Marine Research Institute, University Malaysia Sabah. My research work revolves around the isolation of phytochemical compounds from terrestrial and marine sources and developing them as a biocontrol agent against the disinfestation of parasitized fish in Aquaculture facilities. I have developed several biocontrol agents through a series of experiments which proved very successful, not only safe for fish but also for humans and the surrounding environment compared to the toxic chemical agents applied. Other research interests include the application of biochemical, molecular and pathological techniques to demonstrate the protective nature of bioactive compounds obtained from marine sources.
